With eight front-panel XLR inputs, eight direct outputs, and eight transformer-isolated outputs, the PBR XSplit8 ensures flawless signal routing whether you’re monitoring or recording.

Each input on the PBR XSplit8 features both direct and isolated outputs, allowing you to send clean signals to multiple destinations without introducing ground loops or signal degradation.Transformer-isolated outputs provide complete electrical separation between devices, ensuring clear, hum-free audio in even the most challenging environments.

Isolated and Direct Outputs for maximum flexibility and protection of your valuable mics

Not all splitters are transformer-isolated, which causes impedance mismatching and signal degradation with every signal split. The PBR XSplit8 features a purpose-built Black Lion Audio transformer for superior isolation and minimal signal loss on every ISO output. Output impedance is retained, and signal levels are consistent and predictable.

Transformer-isolated outputs provide peace of mind by preventing accidental damage to delicate equipment.Only the direct outputs carry phantom power, while the transformer-isolated outputs strictly carry the audio signal, ensuring no voltage is accidentally sent to sensitive gear. This is especially useful during live shows where a front of house engineer may accidentally send phantom power to places it shouldn’t go.

The eight front Direct outputs pass the unaffected original mic signal straight through,. And with ground lift switches per input, you’ll eliminate unwanted ground loops with ease.

Why split?

The PBR XSplit8 is right at home in the studio, on-stage, at houses of worship, and on the road.

Splitting your mic signals ensures pristine audio capture and monitoring simultaneously. Whether feeding a front-of-house console while recording a multi-track session or splitting signals for in-ear monitoring while recording live performances, a dedicated splitter like the PBR XSplit8 delivers clean, consistent audio — wherever you need it to go.

Onstage in-ear monitors: Use the PBR XSplit8 to split mic signals to both a mixer for in-ears and front of house.
