The SR25s have become the de facto cymbal and drum overhead microphone on top studio sessions, during the biggest festivals, and showcased on every drum video. They’ve been the hallmark of success and the easiest way to get the biggest sound. And now, the second generation builds on everything that the industry demands while improving on all aspects of usability and performance. We kept everything that you loved while giving you more of everything else that you asked for.
New Active Electronics
We’ve hardened the internal electronics to draw less phantom power and we’ve built in additional protection features to safeguard against accidental hot swapping. We all know that you shouldn’t plug in a condenser microphone with the power engaged but we also know that’s an inevitably in the field sometimes. These new stacked changes make the SR25 Gen 2 more robust, more compatible, and more user-friendly.
