Expressive E Osmose 61-Key Polyphonic Synthesizer and MIDI Controller

Expand Your Creative Range with the Expressive E Osmose 61 61-Key MPE Synthesizer

Building on the worldwide success of the 49-key Osmose, the new 61-key version adds an extra octave, giving musicians more room to explore, compose, and perform. Musicians can now choose between the original 49-key or 61-key model depending on their needs and playing style.

• 61 full-size expressive keys with multidimensional touch control
• Powered by the EaganMatrix sound engine from Haken Audio
• Integrated MPE support and 24-voice polyphony
• Comprehensive effects suite with reverb, delay, compressor, and EQ
• 580 factory presets and up to 2048 preset slots
• Color LCD interface with encoders, pitch/mod sliders, and preset controls
• New in-house European manufacturing at Expressive E’s Polish facility

Osmose thrives within a living, evolving ecosystem of software, presets, and community-driven updates, ensuring it grows and improves over time. With production now fully internalized in a new Polish factory, Expressive E guarantees the highest European quality standards for every instrument.

Unmatched Expressivity

Developed and fully designed by Expressive E, the Osmose keybed sets a new benchmark for MPE instruments. Every note responds with nuance to velocity, press, aftertouch, pitch bend, pressure glide, strum, and vibrato—making the keyboard a natural extension of the player’s hands.

Multi-Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer has already tapped into its expressive potential on landmark projects such as the Dune: Part Two soundtrack.

“You guys spent an enormous amount of time building exactly the instruments that should have been built a hundred years ago.” — Hans Zimmer

EaganMatrix Always at the Core of Osmose Sound

Powered by the legendary EaganMatrix engine developed by Haken Audio, Osmose delivers rich acoustic textures and complex synth sounds that react intuitively to every gesture. Its versatile engine supports physical modeling, FM, subtractive synthesis, and more, complemented by onboard reverb, delay, compressor, and EQ. With 580 factory presets and up to 2048 preset slots, Osmose offers a complete, performance-ready palette while staying true to its expressive soul.

A Living Ecosystem

Osmose is at the center of a living ecosystem that grows and evolves with its community of musicians. Expressive E has expanded the software ecosystem around Osmose, offering a rich library of sounds through partnerships with companies such as U-He, KiloHearts, Dawesome, AAS, and Synapse Audio—featured in the Expressive Suites available on the Expressive E website.

Proprietary software designed specifically for Osmose—such as Soliste (physically modeled solo strings) and Noisy 2 (a dual-layer noise-driven synth)—further expands musical possibilities. Expressive E continues to evolve Osmose with regular firmware updates, smoother workflows, and deeper DAW integration.

Coming soon, a series of mini-synth editors for the EaganMatrix will make sound design more accessible than ever, transforming a once-complex interface into an expressive, user-friendly platform for creativity.

Made in Europe: A New Factory in Poland

To meet global demand while guaranteeing uncompromising quality, Expressive E has established a new assembly facility in Poland, fully dedicated to Osmose and future instruments. For the first time, the company will no longer rely on subcontractors—every stage from design to assembly is handled in-house. This shift ensures reliability, sustainability, and the highest European quality standards while giving Expressive E full creative freedom to innovate.
