Protection Against Normal Mode Surges

Normal mode disturbances occur between line, or hot, and neutral. This circuit is most prone to conducting damaging high-voltage surge transients from lightning or man-made sources. RX Series surge protection technology limits line-to-neutral surges to only 10 volts, helping protect connected equipment from harmful power events.

Ground Line Surge Protection

Common mode disturbances involve current on the ground path, such as between safety ground and line or neutral. Ground line interference may not always be as damaging as line-to-neutral surge events, but it is often more frequent and can disrupt sensitive electronic equipment. RX Series circuitry reduces ground line surges to a maximum of 0.50 volts.

AC Noise Filtration

RX Series circuitry provides filtration against EMI and RFI interference, reducing AC noise by 60 dB to 80 dB. This helps remove contamination that can degrade performance, create instability, or interfere with proper operation of connected audio, video, and digital processing equipment.
