This new era focuses on an updated shell construction, new Rapid Tom sizes and stunning new looks! Formed at Ludwig’s factory in Monroe, NC USA, this shell is 7-ply crossover design made up of a 4-ply maple exterior and 3-ply cherry interior measuring at 5.5 mm thick. A design that produces full-range tuning and optimum sustain. Style from a selection of 7 finishes. All NeuSonic outfits now come standard with Evans USA Heads: G1 Coated for tom batter heads, G1 Clear reso for tom resonant side, EQ4 batter bass drum, and EQ3 reso bass drum head. Snare drums feature G1 coated batter and Hazy 300 resonant. The most affordable, complete USA package.

Shell

A 7-ply crossover shell made up of a 4-ply maple exterior and 3-ply cherry interior. Formed at Ludwig’s factory in Monroe, North Carolina, USA, this shell measures at 5.5 mm thick for optimal resonance and sustain.

Bearing Edge

NeuSonic series shells feature a single 45-degree bearing edge with a 1/16-inch back cut. This offers wide-range tuning abilities and optimal sustain.

RFST Molding

To increase stability throughout the drum, all Ludwig USA shells are produced using Radio Frequency Shell Technology. Using a process involving Ludwig’s original bladder molds from the 1960s, RFST’s unique bonding system combined with a specialized adhesive cures each shell evenly over the entire surface. This process is truly the principal ingredient to the “Ludwig Sound.”
