PRS Wood Library McCarty Tremolo With 408 Switching Electric Guitar - Vintage Yellow - #260429757

Premium Craftsmanship, Versatile Switching & Vintage-Inspired Tone - The PRS Wood Library McCarty Tremolo With 408 Switching Electric Guitar in Vintage Yellow

PRS Wood Library guitars are crafted for players who refuse to settle, pairing hand-selected premium tonewoods with exceptional craftsmanship and standout visual appointments. Designed to deliver powerful, articulate tone and effortless playability, these exclusive instruments offer the perfect blend of luxury, performance, and unmistakable PRS character—making them a prized addition to any serious collection.

The Vintage Yellow finish might catch your eye first, but this special PRS Wood Library run has a few surprises. A flame 10-Top and mahogany body are paired with a flame maple neck, ziricote fretboard, and PRS Gen III tremolo—a combination you don’t see on a McCarty every day.

McCarty III humbuckers deliver vintage-inspired tone, while dual mini-toggle EQ switches offer additional tone-shaping options alongside the volume, tone, and three-way pickup selector. A Pattern neck carve provides a substantial, familiar feel, and hybrid hardware complements the Old School bird inlays with Pink Heart centers and Sparkle mother-of-pearl outlines. Beautiful wood, distinctive details, and plenty of reasons to pick it up and play.

That color has some history here at Chuck’s, too. Our own Paul Schein remembers Paul Reed Smith showing him a Vintage Yellow prototype back in 1984—the guitar that made him want to become a PRS dealer. This run brings a little of that early PRS spirit to a decidedly different McCarty.
