Newly Engineered Speaker System

The FP-40’s redesigned speaker layout delivers a clear, spacious sound. They provide a significant advantage over the downward- and rear-facing speakers of other portable pianos.

In addition, the FP-40 features new speaker box enclosures, a hardware development that brings improved depth and richness to the piano's lower register.

PHA-4 Key Action

Featuring the same PHA-4 keyboard unit as the FP-30X, the FP-40 boasts newly optimized touch curves tailored to the updated sound engine for greater nuance.

The triple sensor in the key action offers superior, faster note repetition (including trills) and improved expression compared to the dual sensors used by competitors at the same price point.

Piano Reality Technology

The FP-40 uses the latest piano sampling technology to provide a rich, dynamic sound. By applying elements of modeling technology from Roland's premium models, it delivers seamless velocity and tonal transitions, along with natural piano resonance and note decay.

Flexible Connections

The FP-40 includes a USB-C cable for seamless mobile app connectivity, device powering, USB-MIDI, and USB audio.

The piano is also compatible with headset microphones. Combined with USB power for mobile devices and audio features, this simplifies performance streaming and video creation.

A Wide Variety of Content

FP-40 purchase offers free access to a broad range of high-quality copyright and copyright-free content to encourage and inspire continued piano playing.

There is also an opportunity to upgrade for a fee to unlock an even broader range of song content, spanning over 1,000 titles.
