Warm Audio WA-47T Large-Diaphragm Tube Condenser - Limited Titanium-Style Finish

Authentic Reproduction of the Most Coveted Tube Condenser Microphone - The Warm Audio WA-47T Large-Diaphragm Tube Condenser - Limited Titanium-Style Finish

The WA-47T is an authentic reproduction of the most coveted tube condenser mic for timeless studio sound in limited titanium-style finish. The WA-47 accurately matches the sonic profile of the prized vintage originals delivering the deep bass, rich midrange, and smooth highs that made it a favorite of legendary recording artists. The WA-47 uses superior components, starting with a custom K47-style capsule meticulously recreated to match early vintage originals. A premium 5751 vacuum tube sits in between the capsule and a custom TAB-Funkenwerk (AMI) USA output transformer. These elements come together to bring the legendary sounds of timeless icons to today's music makers.

• Deep Lows, Rich Mids, Smooth Highs: The WA-47 tube condenser microphone captures deep bass without coloration in the low end. The midrange on the WA-47 is rich and detailed with a wide sonic signature. The highs are present but smooth, rounding out a mic that captures many sources with authority like drums, vocals, pianos, upright bass, acoustic guitar, piano and much more.
• K47-Style Capsule Recreation: The custom K47-style capsule in the WA-47 is a true reproduction of the large, dual-diaphragm K47-style capsule found in the original U47 mic. This capsule captures authentic analog detail across the 20Hz-20kHz frequency response. With just the right peaks where most vocals sit, the capsule inside the WA-47 will quickly make this a favorite mic for vocals and any source where vintage vibe is a must.
• True-To-Original Spec Transformer: The WA-47 is built with a custom, true-to-original spec TAB (AMI) transformer that delivers the same performance of transformers found in vintage original 47 tube mics. The sweet sonic character of the WA-47 would not be possible without the amazing, historically-correct transformer supplied by TAB-Funkenwerk.
• Premium Tube & Capacitors: The premium 5751 vacuum tube in the WA-47 delivers true analog tone with exceptionally low gain and (11dBA) self-noise. Premium polystyrene, WIMA, and Solen French capacitors are used throughout the WA-47 circuit, providing the excellent signal conversion that this circuit demands.
• Premium Swiss 7-Pin Gotham Cable: Often overlooked, the cable connecting a tube microphone to its power supply is quite a critical element of the signal chain. The WA-47 uses a custom GAC-7 7-pin cable from Gotham, Switzerland. The design and build quality of this cable increases top end presence and the overall size of the recorded image in the stereo field by reducing phase shift and the parasitic effect often found in poorly built cables
• Package Contents: The WA-47T package comes with a matching titanium-finished shock mount, a premium wooden display box, PSU, 7-pin Gotham AG cable, and the whole package comes in a heavy-duty molded black flight case for ultimate protection from the rigors of transportation.
• Hand-Tested In Austin, TX: Like all Warm Audio gear, WA-47T mics are meticulously hand-tested and inspected by trained technicians with a passion for making music in Austin, TX USA.
